Amazing Planet ! Farm & Justice Center

I'm excited to announce that a new cooperative eco-friendly farm and activist center is emerging in the green mountain state currently known as vermont.

I want to recognize that this land first belongs to the earth and to the indigenous people called the Abenaki.

The 32.6 acres is a mix of big bright fields and hilly woodlands. The land is adjacent to the beautiful Rock River with access to some of the best swimming holes in the region. I am aware that many bats, salamanders, and frogs live on the land. I predict that we will be visited by hawks, bears, moose, deer, coyotes, weasels, and beavers,

My initial vision is to create a stronghold for sustainable farming and activism. Through my life experience and research of the global economy and the potential energy crisis, I believe that it is an excellent time to re-learn how to feed ourselves. It's also an essential time to learn how to live and work cooperatively on projects that positively impact the planet and uplift our spirits.

The land includes three large buildings that are suitable as living spaces, a yoga studio, and rental 'farm-stay' apartments. I envision healthy vegetables, an edible forest garden full of apples and blueberries, greenhouses, a root cellar, a community garden space, and many great people working hard to make it all happen. I am also interested in figuring out how the land can meet the needs of the immediate community.

I intend to share this space with some of the kindest people on the planet including Sam, Pete and Jon. We hope to open this space to a diversity of people.

The globalization of capitalism is threatening most everything I value- the diversity of cultures and ecosystems, access free and clean water, and the ability to live empowered and dignified lives.

I hope this space will facilitate problem-solving on planetary, community and personal levels.

I hope this project will honor this amazing planet.

Hence the name, Amazing Planet Farm.
